Nintendo Adapter Will Bring GameCube Controllers Out of Retirement

Nintendo announced the release of a new adapter that will allow the use of older GameCube controllers on the Wii U

Love it or hate it Nintendo's Flight Pad controller will always be connected with Super Smash Bros. Now Nintendo is doing what it does best by reviving the past with an adapter that will allow gamers to play the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Wii U with their aging GameCube controllers.

Just a week ago Nintendo announced that it would be releasing a controller inspired by the classic GameCube controller, the Flight Pad. The new Flight Pad adapter will release around the time of Super Smash Bros. Wii U which is set to drop later this year. How many GameCube controllers do you have hanging around?
