McDonald's wants to remain the elite fast food chain, so it's always considering ways to continue its dominance. This latest move is a slight alteration to their already famous fries.
According to the Huffington Post, McDonald's is testing McDonald's Shakin' Flavor Fries in Northern California and St. Louis. You basically dump the fries in a bag, then season them yourself by shaking them up:
1) Pour ‘em 2) Sprinkle ‘em 3) Close ‘em. 4) Shake ‘em 5) Love ‘em," the bag instructs. The flavors include Garlic Parmesan, Zesty Ranch and Spicy Buffalo. Some McDonald’s menus in Asia have featured this kind of French fry for years, but they're new to McD's in the U.S.
Spokeswoman Lisa McComb said early tests have been inconclusive. "As with all tests, we aren't in a position to draw conclusions or make assumptions about the test, since it is just beginning." Sometimes, you have to literally have to shake things up to remain the best.
