Law enforcement officials in D.C. say a man was arrested this afternoon after stripping naked and attacking a Secret Service officer in front of the White House today.

The Washington Post reports that the man walked right up to the entrance around 3 p.m., removed all of his clothing and assaulted the officer who attempted to restrain him. He was eventually taken to the pavement by security. According to U.S. Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie, the man was hospitalized with minor injuries and was later arrested.

The Post has elected not to identify the man, as charges against him are pending. Someone started clearly started their holiday weekend early, and will spend a portion of it behind bars.
