It could be said that its indicative of a problematic society when people actually think questioning a woman about the validity of her miscarriage claim, but, unfortunately, that's what's been happening with Lindsay Lohan since she revealed that she suffered a miscarriage during the filming of her OWN reality show, Lindsay

"No one knows this – I had a miscarriage for those two weeks that I took off," Lohan explained during the finale of the show. "I was sick. And mentally, that messes with you."

After the reveal, rumors began floating around that Lohan had fabricated the whole thing, because, like with most things involving Lohan, tabloids and the gossiping masses like to theorize that Lohan lies about everything, even something as personal and traumatic as a miscarriage that takes a great deal of courage to reveal on national television. Stay classy, America.

Anyway: the whole situation took another twisty turn recently when Lohan testified in court that she did indeed suffer a miscarriage, and named it as the reason she had not responded to that pesky lawsuit from her failed clothing line, 6126. From TMZ:

None

Considering that this is a sworn statement on a legal document, Lohan is considered under oath by saying this—meaning she's basically just testified that the miscarriage was real. Should she be making the whole thing up to gain sympathy and reprieve from the lawsuit (which is for $5 million), she could face jail time for lying. But, shouldn't a sworn statement be enough to put this whole debate to rest?
