Online, Jessica Chastain is not in the running to star in True Detective season two, despite reports last night surfacing from Nerdistthat stated the contrary. Apparently, reps for Chastain told E! News that she is most defintiely not doing the series. HBO also denied the reports.
And just like that, our dreams are crushed.
One rumor that hasn't been squashed concerning True Detective season two: the casting of Brad Pitt as a new lead, which has been rumored for months now. He's no Chastain, though...sigh.
