Another say, another drug smuggling failure in New York City

According to Gothamist, a man was caught with $20,000 worth of heroin at a Port Authority Bus Terminal. Officials say Gobert Taveras, 32, of the Bronx was arrested yesterday morning after Port Authority police watched him place a brown paper bag on the ground, then suspiciously leave and come back to it several times.

Taveras reportedly denied owning the bag when questioned about it, but eventually came clean. Authorities opened it to find 2,000 decks of heroin, and then it was all over for him.

Taveras currently faces felony drug possession charges.
