HBO announced today that they have green-lit the series Vice Principals, which brings former Eastbound & Down star Danny McBride back to the network for another comedic go-around. McBride will return to a place where he achieved lofty comedic heights in Eastbound: a public school.

While Kenny Powers was but a gym teacher, McBride’s character will be the school’s titular No. 2 administrator, undoubtedly lording over the students with a frequently profane and generally inappropriate style. Jody Hill—who created Eastbound along with McBride—will be returning as well.

“Danny McBride and Jody Hill have created a smart, rowdy and unpredictable style of comedy that we can’t get enough of,” said HBO’s Michael Lombardo in a statement. “The idea of them setting their minds on high school was irresistible.”

The deal is for 18 episodes, which will surely be split up into separate seasons. While no casting has been announced, we’re hoping that maybe we’ll get to see the return of Principal Cutler and his famous triathlon skills.
