It's that time of year—once-promising shows are biting the dust. CBS has canceled The Crazy Ones starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Robin Williams. The ratings weren't terrible, but it probably isn't cost-effective to keep a show with such expensive stars going if it isn't a big hit.

Bad Teacher, Friends with Better Lives (starring James Van Der Beek), Intelligence (starring Josh Holloway) and Hostages (starring Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott) were also canceled. About the only thing renewed is The Mentalist, which will return for its seventh season.

New pilots ordered include NCIS: New Orleans, Matthew Perry's Odd Couple, CSI: Cyber and How I Met Your Dad.
