So this is embarrassing. According to TMZ, Ben Affleck was banned for life from the Hard Rock casino in Las Vegas on Tuesday after security caught him counting cards during a game of Blackjack. Affleck was in Vegas on a short vacation with his wife, Jennifer Garner, before he is scheduled to begin filming on the yet-untitled sequel to Man of Steel in Detroit.

Counting cards isn’t illegal, but it will get you thrown out of casinos if you are caught doing it. It’s basically a strategy that involves decreasing your betting risk by keeping a tally of all of the high and low valued cards seen by the player. Affleck is a known card player, and TMZ has noted that he once won $800,000 while playing three $20,000 hands of Blackjack at one time at the Hard Rock. Now that sounds like something Bruce Wayne would do.
