In an update to a story we posted this morning, it appears our national crisis is over; after much fanfare, Amy Poehler has given Seth Meyers his credit card back. And it only cost Meyers $5000.
Both attended last night’s LOL with LLS, a comedy event held in New York City to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma society. As you may have predicted, this whole incident did not go unmentioned by the comedians in attendance.
Moderated by The League and Kroll Show’sNick Kroll, Meyers and Poehler had the following exchange to settle their differences:
Poehler: Very quickly, before I get offstage, a few weeks ago, Seth Meyers and I went to go to dinner and by mistake we traded credit cards and he talked about it on his show. And I had his credit card for a while and I had some fun with it. I took my family to San Francisco for the weekend.
So there you have it, for now it appears this story has reached a peaceful conclusion. But we wonder, will Poehler be arrested? Will Meyers actually fork over the $5000? If there are any updates to be had, we’ll be sure to bring them to you.
