It’s almost Mother’s Day again and that means it's time to meditate on what a terrible child you are. It’s not completely your fault. It’s human nature to be ungrateful. How can you pay back unconditional love and affection? How do you repay the people who love you for who you are and not what you look like or what you’ve given them? Of course, the answer is you can’t. There is no way that you can ever balance the scales with our parents, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try. Mother’s Day is a good time to look yourself in that mental mirror and ask, “Am I a good son?” This, of course, is one of those hard things to quantify, like “Am I cool?” or “Am I an asshole?” Though it is hard to tell if you’re a good son, there are many clues that can tell you that you’re a bad son.
