Itâs almost Motherâs Day again and that means it's time to meditate on what a terrible child you are. Itâs not completely your fault. Itâs human nature to be ungrateful. How can you pay back unconditional love and affection? How do you repay the people who love you for who you are and not what you look like or what youâve given them? Of course, the answer is you canât. There is no way that you can ever balance the scales with our parents, but that doesnât mean that we shouldnât try. Motherâs Day is a good time to look yourself in that mental mirror and ask, âAm I a good son?â This, of course, is one of those hard things to quantify, like âAm I cool?â or âAm I an asshole?â Though it is hard to tell if youâre a good son, there are many clues that can tell you that youâre a bad son. If none of the marks of being a terrible child apply to you, then congratulations, mommaâs boy. For those of you who donât call mom nearly enough, keep reading.
