The infamous Wheel of Fortune contestant Julian Batts—whom you may remember as the guy who doesn't know how to say Achilles—spoke with Good Morning America about his lost opportunity to score ONE MILLION AMERICAN DOLLARS. Oh yeah, and that other lost opportunity to win a CAR and a VACATION.
When he dropped the ball...twice...Batts described the experience as so: "It hit me like a train and I really didn't know how to react to it."
Though the rules state that words must be pronounced correctly in order to win (he said Ach-ee-lees instead of the correct pronounciation of "Achilles") Batts says he doesn't think he should have lost.
“I didn’t feel like I made a mistake,” he said. “I mean, I had solved the puzzle entirely, and really all I had to do was read it. I just went for it, and did my best.”
Batts is a good sport. While the rest of us would be drowning in a river of alcohol, tears, and sadness he said being on the show was "a dream" and that "it was one of the greatest experiences [he's] accomplished so far.”
