The music selection at the W Hotel (515 15th St. NW) in D.C. just got even better, as Svetlana Legetic, the creative navigator behind Brightest Young Things, was appointed the hotel's music curator last week. With its feet planted in D.C. and now New York City, BYT has gone from a music-focused website to a way of life—a cult following, even.
To celebrate the hotel's new direction, the W's POV Rooftop Lounge and Terrace will host a party on Apr. 24. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the actual party starts at 8:30 p.m. with performances by DDM, Sheila D Yeah and RA the MC. The 21 and over event is open to the public and free, you just have to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Legetic has had her finger on the pulse of D.C.'s music scene for years, and this party will serve as the official beginning of a new era at the W.
