Samsung and Apple are in a steep court battle right now over claims that one infringed upon the patents of the other when making their popular smartphones. Samsung is trying to defend itself from having to pay Apple $2 billion.

The fight intensified this week when Samsung demanded $6 million from Apple for FaceTime, Apple's video call feature, that Samsung says infringes on its video call patents. Specifically, Samsung says its patent is for the compression of video before it's sent over a mobile network, and the company demonstrated how FaceTime does just that.

Apple is trying to get $40 for every device Samsung sold that they say infringes on their patents (that's the $2B), which includes the slide to unlock feature.
