Even if you're not an avid fan of ping pong (if not: Where are your priorities?), Ping Pong Summer is still a movie that can resonate with you. Take this exclusive clip from the film as prime example: In it, we see Susan Sarandon talking about her warm-up routine for a rigorous game of ping pong with Marcello Conte. "Oh, you are in your head, man," she says. "You've got all this negative chatter that you're thinking, 'I'm so nervous, I don't know what I'm doing, what's Randy thinking?'—you've got to just switch it off, OK? And reload." This applies to both ping pong, and life, when you think about it.
You can check out the clip above. In addition to Sarandon and Conte, the film also stars Lea Thompson, Judah Friedlander, Amy Sedaris, Myles Massey, and Emmi Shockley. Set during one summer in 1985, the film follows the story of a teenage boy who is obsessed with ping pong—and how his life changes dramatically that summer. Look for Ping Pong Summer in theaters and on VOD on June 6.
