It looks like Paramount is still fine-tuning the cast for its upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. According to Deadline, the studio has brought in Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub to provide the voices for Leonardo and Splinter respectively. The actors won’t be providing the motion-capture acting for the characters, though. Those roles have already been completed by Pete Ploszek and Danny Woodburn.

While Ploszek and Woodburn were originally slated to also provide the voices for the characters, the site is reporting that the studio has been open to the idea of bringing in other voice actors once post-production was underway. It’s not common for a studio to change a major component like this so late in the process, but it’s obvious that Paramount feels that Knoxville and Shalhoub are better for the end product. And after the reception the first trailer for the movie got, Paramount is wise to make some changes.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hits theaters on August 8.
