Marvel is going to expand its empire into Netflix soon for a Daredevil TV show, and since the series was announced, rumors have circulated that former Dexter star, Michael C. Hall is the top choice to play leading superhero, Matthew Murdock. But, is there any truth to them? Turns out: Maybe! They could be, anyway. Yesterday Vulture spoke to Hall at the premiere of his Broadway play The Realistic Joneses, and asked about the rumors.
"I think that's all they are — rumors," Hall said. "Don't misunderstand, I would definitely consider it." Hmm, cryptic. So, Hall hasn't been formally approached, but maybe writer and director of the upcoming Daredevil pilot Drew Goddard is eyeing Hall and this is the meet cue? We can hope—we are in desperate need of a palatte cleanser from that godawful Dexter finale, and this could be just it.
