Wait, a Live-Action "Street Fighter" Series That Doesn't Suck?

Machinima is working on the live action "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist"

There have been more than enough bad attempts at live action Street Fighter by Capcom in the movies, so Machinima is trying its hand at a web series.

The series, Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, will be helmed by director Joey Ansah, who will appear as Akuma. The series focuses on a young Ken (portrayed by an actor who looks vaguely like Owen Wilson) and Ryu.

The trailer above gives us some hope for the series. It also doesn't hurt that Ansah worked on the awesome Street Fighter: Legacy short:

Capcom has given the series its approval. It will debut on Machinima in May.
