Authorities in California say a man's body was found inside of a suitcase located in a flood-control channel earlier this week.
According to the Huffington Post, the discovery was made by a maintenance worker in Glendale, Calif. The suitcase appeared to have been dropped from a bridge the night before. Victims say the man is an adult male in his 20s, and officials add that there were no obvious wounds. His identity has not been released.
Regardless, criminality is suspected. "Obviously, foul play in this case is suspected," Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz told KTLA, noting that "a body in a suitcase is not something that’s common."
Investigators are treating the man's death as a homicide.
