In news that surprises absolutely no one: HBO has renewed Game of Thrones for its fifth and sixth seasons. Really, this was inevitable—the series just earned the highest ratings for HBO since the 2007 Sopranos finale, crashed HBO GO (an honor only shared by the True Detective finale), and the showrunners have commented that they are in it for the long haul.

No word on if seven seasons is still the production team's plan or if HBO will make them go the way of AMC and split the final season into two parts to milk the show as much as they can—or even if they'll pull a Grey's Anatomy and run the show 10+ seasons!—but at least we have this assurance that we're getting two more years of this epic show.

Aww.
