A U.K. teen trying to save her phone from a watery grave had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in the drain.
Ella Birchenough's BlackBerry (of course it was) fell out of her back pocket and into a drain, so the 16-year-old Kent native decided that climbing down there to fetch it was wise. She got stuck trying to climb out, creating quite the spectacle. Fellow victims of technology gathered, took pictures and shared them on social media.
Someone called for help, and firefighters eventually freed Birchenough. The phone is broken and Birchenough achieved infamy as the poster child for a technology-obsessed generation.
