There have been plenty of rumors concerning the casting of Star Wars: Episode VII, so it's nice to have something that is actually confirmed for once: Apparently Peter Mayhew, who portrayed the classic character Chewbacca in the original films, is set to reprise his legendary role in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII movie.
As mentioned by The Hollywood Reporterfans have speculated that Mayhew would return because he bowed out of a Comicpalooza appearance "due to filming"—crypic, eh? This pretty much confirms it: The convention takes place May 23-26, and Star Warshas already begun filming. Chewbacca is back, everyone!
