Rumors have been swirling about Star Wars: Episode VII pretty much ever since the project was announced. The fact that Star Trek's J.J. Abrams is directing complicated things a bit further. Last September, Latino Review claimed that Benedict Cumberbatch would have a "small role" in episode seven, which would expand in the subsequent two films.

Although Cumberbatch has a vast and rabid fan base, he's also Khan in Star Trek. For many fans, that just seems like too much Abrams crossover between arguably the two greatest sci fi series of all time. Cumberbatch denied involvement, of course, but he denied he'd be in Star Trek, too.

During a Q&A session at Austrailian ComicCon this weekend, Cumberbatch addressed the rumors directly. "I would’ve liked a part in J.J.’s new Star Wars but it won’t happen sadly," he said. So, who is in Star Wars? Well, Adam Driver.
