Call it an April Fool's prank if you like, but what Google has done today is much better than nair in your shampoo or a dumb Facebook status about being pregnant. Google has made everyone believe in Pokémon again.

Update the Google Maps app on your phone today, tap the search bar, then tap "press start," and Pokémon will begin to appear on your map. Explore the world from your app and you can catch up to 150. Just like you used to fantasize as a kid, Pokémon are everywhere today: downtown, in the park, on a mountain, in the ocean—all you have to do is look.

Here are ten places to make sure you go before the day is done. Happy Pokémon catching!

Hopefully next year Google will take this one step further and actually clone us up some real life Pokémon.
