Everybody keeps talking about HBO's True Detective, and rightfully so. It's an expertly made crime drama starring two of the most talented actors working today: Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. However, despite the fanfare, the think-pieces, and the critical acclaim, they're not the greatest duo to ever solve mysteries. That title goes to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.
Lest you forget, the twins started their detective work about 20 years ago. The pint-sized millionaires had The Adventures of Mary Kate and Ashley on video and a series of children's novels in which they'd investigate everything from haunted mansions to the thief who stole the spirit of Christmas.
