This Vine of a Harp Seal Is the Cutest Thing on the Internet

We're not even joking.

Usually when you hear about an animal washing up on a beach, it's some poor dolphin or whale about to die a tragic death. Fortunately for you animal lovers out there, however, this is not one of those stories.

As can be seen on a Vine posted by DNA Info, a harp seal came ashore at Rockaway Beach to hang out and shed some of its winter coat. Though East Coasters won't stop complaining about this winter's brutal temperatures, arctic animals have used the chilly weather to venture further south than they would in more temperate years.

Though harbor and gray seals are common in New York waters, it's rare to see a harp seal. Even so, there have been 25 reports of harp seals this season, compared to just one found last year. As for our friend here, wildlife experts say it looks to be perfectly healthy
