The first trailer for Brett Ratner's Hercules has arrived, and, true to the original story, the trailer shows Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the Greek demigod flexing, grunting, and talking in an accent. Also, there's the most gigantic CGI lion you've ever seen, and for that, you pretty much have to watch.

Hercules is abased on a graphic novel written by Steve Moore called Hercules: The Thracian Wars and chronicles Hercules' love of fighting and killing. After Hercules' and his crew are asked to train an army to become the greatest fighters on Earth, he questions his blood lust.

Hercules hits theaters on July 25 and, in addition to Johnson, stars Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Aksel Hennie, Reece Ritchie and Tobias Santelmann.
