Prepare to overreact, parents. Kids have reportedly taken their caffeine addiction and quest to get high to new, lofty heights by smoking coffee.
ABC affiliate KTNV in Las Vegas claims that the kids are learning this new method through websites, and that the "trend" has gone viral. Though you can't put it past kids to do strange things, this seems to be blown way out of proportion. Gawker notes that someone on Reddit experimented with the non-traditional caffeine high in 2011, and he probably isn't the father of invention.
Though caffeine overdoses are no joke, the validity of claim about teenagers smoking coffee has to be questioned. Is this really a thing, or are people just making it a thing? At ease for now, parents.
