Startups, Gizmos, and Breakfast Tacos: Complex Tech @ SXSW Interactive 2014

The remix.

Internet, we've officially made it to Austin for SXSW Interactive 2014! And don't worry, we didn't have to catch a train to Baltimore just to hop on a plane to Austin this time around. To paraphrase a 19-year-old, fresh-faced LL Cool J: this year our team is bigger and deffer, and so is our coverage. Expect event recaps, interviews, news on product announcements, and video updates. Oh, yeah: and daily Twitter thoughts about breakfast tacos!

What we love most about our time in Austin each year? The people. Amid the parties, endless beer, and cool gadgets, Interactive thrives because of the people behind the machines. Our hope is to bring those stories to you, to introduce you to developers and entrepreneurs and Internet personalities eager to share not just a good idea, but the spirit behind it. We hope to answer some of the hard questions, too. Does Biz Stone really think he can turn Jelly into the next Twitter? How will stats-guru Nate Silver create a distinct voice and site in an already overcrowded web space? Will Google use its robot army for good? Can Samsung remain relevant despite Apple's cultural ubiquity? And most importantly: With all the fame and fortune, why is grumpy Cat still so grumpy?

Our squad—Jason Parham, Gus Turner, and Kevin Smith—will be sharing their experiences as they navigate Austin's sunny sprawl. So check in daily, and be sure to follow us on Twitter (@Complex_Tech) for breaking updates and bizarre observations (our #OverheardAtSXSW hashtag should be pretty damn hilarious).

And, yes, the rumors are true: Ausitn's streets are flooded with queso. Time to dive in.
