A South Carolina pub made the conscious decision to ban all patrons carrying concealed firearms, specifically referring to them as "douchebags."

The sign, which was posted in the door of Clemson, S.C.'s Backstreets Pub and Deli, went viral, sparking the ire of several gun supporters. This led to a rapid increase in Yelp reviews (seriously, three to over 300 in a day?), and it's unclear if some of the complaints are valid, or if they were just part of a concerted effort to tank the pub's rating:

Hey Douchebag!!!! I hope you close your doors for good and never make another penny in AMERICA!!! Its where your rights to own and operate that said business is protected with BLOOD and GUNS and The LIVES of AMERICANS across the world!!

A one-star rating and no mention of the food? How productive. However, posts like this were countered by glowing reviews that praised the owner for standing up to the "douchebags":

Great place!

Though the pub's Facebook page seems to have been shut down, the owner—who's also a gun owner—hit critics with the "Sorry, I'm not sorry," explaining that the sign was posted in response to "gun nuts" and their "irrational" behavior. He added that you're most definitely a douchebag if you bring a gun to a college bar, which is hard to argue with.
