Late last week, Selena Gomez was subpoenaed to testify in a civil suit dating back to May of 2012 when Justin Bieber attacked paparazzo Jose Duran in front of her outside of a mall in Calabasas, California. Duran is suing Bieber for assault and battery.

An exclusive source told E! News that, "Selena has been ordered to appear on April 23, 2014, to be deposed in Los Angeles." She will be asked questions about her "relationship with Justin, then and now," "if she ever witnessed any use of Justin taking controlled substances" and "if she had seen any episodes of violence or anger involving Justin."

It seems like no matter how much the pop princess wants to leave Bieber behind, she can't escape his trail of destructive behavior. Only time will tell if these messy ordeals will bring the couple back together or keep them further apart.
