A security guard was trampled by an overzealous group who stormed the gate at Ultra Music Festival in Miami on Friday night.

According to the Miami New Times, Erica Mack, 28, was discovered "screaming in pain" on the ground. Tickets for the festival were $400, and Miami Fire-Rescue Lt. Ignatius Carroll told the Miami New Times that the crowd saw the chance to gain entry for free.

"They saw an opportunity to try to get in without paying," he explained. "She was doing what she was supposed to do, telling them to stop, when they pushed [the fence] down and it fell on top of her... They just trampled her."

CBS Miami adds that 22 people were arrested on Friday night, while an additional 26 were taken into custody yesterday. "Little do they know we have officers waiting for them on the other side," Miami Police Public Information Officer Frederica Burden told the affiliate of people who hop fences near the festival thinking they're in the clear.

The Miami Herald reports that Mack was in critical, yet stable condition as of yesterday night.
