A 24-year-old man tried to buy a PlayStation 3 off of a website in the UK, and in the time after he sent his money to the seller, the system never arrived.

Edd Joseph, the wishful gamer who got ripped off, didn't have his system or his money, but he did have the scammer's phone number. So in order to get some technological revenge, he's texting the guy full works of Shakespeare that can reach some 20,000 to 30,000-words in length (he's copying and pasting from his browser.) What makes it worse is that the scammer doesn't have anything like iMessage or BBM: his texts can only handle 160 characters, so he's getting HUNDREDS of broken apart texts. Joseph says he's sent some 17,000 texts so far, and the scammer has sent some "abusive" messages to get him to stop.

"His phone must have been going off pretty constantly for hours," says Joseph. "I'm going to keep doing it. If nothing else I'm sharing a little bit of culture with someone who probably doesn't have much experience of it."
