Rumors: "Titanfall 2" Will be Published by EA, Expect Multi-Platform Release

Microsoft exclusivity could only last one title.

Is Titanfall 2 already being shopped as a multi-platform release by EA?

Looks that way if today's rumors are to be believed. According to Polygon and a report from GameStop, EA  has secured the rights to Titanfall 2 and is looking to make the next installment a release that reaches every format available.

Which makes sense. Last we checked Titanfall was moving units and why wouldn't EA wanna see those sales figures doubled or tripled?

An EA rep declined to comment on the rumor, but sources close to Polygon have stated that a Titanfall sequel will not be a Microsof exclusive.

"We do not comment on rumor or speculation," the representative told Polygon. "Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying Titanfall."

tweet from Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella, sent last October, seemed to imply that the exclusivity would only last for the first title.

Stay tuned for any further details as this story unfolds.
