According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Oprah Winfrey is selling Harpo Studios in Chicago to a developer, but the studio will remain on the property for another two years." The 3.5-acre campus will sell for $32 million.

Oprah began shooting "The Oprah Winfrey Show" at the studio in 1990.

She ended the show in 2011 to start OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network on cable.

Oprah's presence at Harpo Studios turned the once tough and industrial area into a family friendly neighborhood. Her legendary guests on the show include Michael Jackson, Tom Cruise (he famously jumped on her couch to declare his love for then girlfriend Katie Holmes) and superstar singer Céline Dion

And let's not forget, one of the most famous episodes of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" shot at Harpo Studios when she gave away a car to each member of her studio audience.
