Due to the drunken debauchery, the LIRR and Metro-North trains are two of the last places you want to be on St. Patrick's Day. Unfortunately, people have to get around, so they have to use them. As part of a continuous effort to make the day less stressful, the MTA will again ban drinking on both trains this Monday.

Gothamist reports that alcohol will be prohibited on both Metro-North and LIRR platforms between 12:01 a.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday. Furthermore, anyone caught with alcohol in their possession will have it taken from them. The sad reality is that people will still try to find a way around this, and the aftermath will not be pretty.
