Watch Adam Driver in the New Trailer for "Tracks"

He's a "National Geographic" photographer.

Australian biopic Tracks doesn't exactly have a U.S. release date just yet, but it's been building buzz on the film festival circuit. It stars Mia Wasikowska as real-life writer Robyn Davidson who trekked across the Australian Desert on foot in 1977. Girls' Adam Driver plays National Geographic photographer Rick Smolan.

He's currently in talks to play the villain in the new J.J. Abrams Star Wars reboot and was cast in the latest Martin Scorcese movie, but here, Driver stays true to his indie roots. It was filmed on location in South Australia and the Northern Territory in 2012 on a $12 million budget—pretty thrifty for a sweeping desert adventure.

The John Curran-directed Tracks is already out in Australia, but it'll be available stateside "sometime this year." Until then, here's a new trailer to tide you over.
