It’s almost unbelievable just how incredible everything about Warner Brothers’ new Godzilla movie has looked so far. In addition to the epic trailers released recently, the posters for the film have been more than enough to assure fans that this will be much different than the disaster from 1998.
The first way the studio is differentiating itself from that debacle is the design of Godzilla himself. The beast now looks like his classic Japanese counterpart, rather than the overgrown iguana that Roland Emmerich gave us. Plus, he’s looking absolutely gigantic in the new movie, which is sure to pay off in some of the most impressive CGI visuals in recent memory. If you need more proof that this new Godzilla is ready to stomp the West Coast into dust, take a look at the latest poster for the movie below, courtesy of Legendary Pictures.
