Captain America: The Winter Soldier promises to be a much-needed change of pace from the recent Marvel movies. Instead of focusing on intergalactic threats and all-powerful MacGuffins, this film looks to be a more grounded affair, with a personal conflict between Captain America and his old partner, Bucky Barnes, at the center of the story.
In this new clip from the movie, we get to see that grounded approach in action as Cap (Chris Evans) pursues Bucky, aka The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), in an old-fashioned foot chase. This back-to-basics approach looks more like something out of the Bourne series than a superhero movie, and it might just help the film rise above the recent crop of movies from the company.
We'll see if this approach to the superhero genre can work when The Winter Soldier hits theaters on April 4.
