A massive counterfeiting operation in New York has been taken down, authorities say.

According to ABC New York, $2 million worth of fake beauty and health products were taken by authorities on Thursday. The seizure included knockoff versions of reputable international brands such as Unilver, Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson and products including Vaseline, inhalers and Vicks Vaporub.

ABC New York adds that Pardeep Malik and Hamant Mullick oversaw the ring, working out operations centers in Oceanside, Franklin Square, Valley Stream and Freeport. According to prosecutors, the products were sold to distributors, then on to smaller stores.

The ring was discovered following a fire last April, and Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice said the fake products have appeared everywhere from New York, Pennsylvania and Florida.

Furthermore, investigators are conducting tests to determine if there are health risks associated with any of the counterfeit products.
