A morning collision inside of the Lincoln Tunnel quickly became a commuter's nightmare.

Around 7:20 a.m., a car collided with two tractor trailers inside of the tunnel's outbound north tube. The tunnel was being opened and closed "sporadically," delaying the morning commute by over two hours in some cases:

Joe Pentangelo, a spokesman for Port Authority, said the tunnel's north tube is now open. NJ Transitis no longer directing buses to Newark's Penn Station and Secaucus Junction, but additional delays should be anticipated. The accident left one person injured, but Gothamist reports that the person refused medical attention.
