He's been "beating himself up" apparently.

It’s been decades since John Travolta was as entertaining as he was when he inexplicably mispronounced Idina Menzel’s name as "Adela Dazeem" during Sunday’s Oscars broadcast. Travolta instantly became the source of endless social media ridicule, and it ironically made him more relevant than any movie he has been in recently. In an attempt to backtrack on his now famous flub, Travolta spoke through his publicist about the incident, courtesy of Today. He said:

I’ve been beating myself up all day. Then I thought ... what would Idina Menzel say, She'd say, Let it go, let it go! Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!

This statement won’t do much to stop the Internet from using Travolta as its favorite punching bag at this point, especially with the bizarre punctuation throughout the statement. Still, at least he's trying to salvage a little dignity from this whole ordeal. That being said, he would still make a better host than Seth MacFarlane.
