People seem to enjoy analyzing porn as much as they like watching it.
According to the Huffington Post, new Pornhub stats revealed the most popular porn searches in 24 cities across the U.S. over the past year. Curious about the methodology, the Huffington Post reached out to Pornhub for clarity regarding whether their data is based entirely on search results and not links on the homepage.
"We’ve done in depth usability tests and concluded that users either browse by homepage, categories or by search results," vice president Corey Price explained. "When we look at the most popular categories in each city, they are incredibly close, if not identical to the top searches."
One interesting revelation is that "massage" seems to be one of the most popular—if not the most popular—search in many of the selected cities. Let the record show that it's #1 in both New York and Los Angeles.
Also worth noting: Actress Lisa Ann was the most-searched star in 18 cities, an accomplishment that Price credits to her OG status. "Lisa Ann has been in the business since the early 90’s, he said. "Her longevity in porn has definitely been a factor in her popularity. In the past several years she’s fit the MILF category, which is one of the most popular on the site."
She was popular enough (and looked enough like Sarah Palin) to get booked in Tampa, Fla. during the Republican National Convention in 2012, so this isn't too shocking.
