Philadelphia-based Dock Street Brewing Co. (701 South 50th St.) has given fans of The Walking Dead a reason to nerd-out—and drink. Appropriately titled the "Dock Street Walker," the American Pale Stout was created by brewery rep Sasha Certo-Ware and head brewer Justin Low. It also features an interesting additive: Actual brains.
Yes, in addition to the organic cranberries, the beer is made with smoked goat brains. Considering the show that inspired it, this makes perfect sense. Certo-Ware and Low knew this would give it extra power, and at 7.2 percent ABV, it definitely has power.
The beer will make its debut on March 30 when the brewery hosts its Walking Dead season finale party.
