Sega announced today that it's bringing back Crazy Taxi for an exclusive iOS and Android game called Crazy Taxi: City Rush. This latest installment of the over-the-top crashing simulation is being developed by the series creator Kenji Kanno.

City Rush hopes to reimagine the series but also keep the game fun and easy to play with one-touch controls and a free-to-play pricing scheme.

"We are delivering a truly fun game that captures everything our fans love about the original and infusing it with several new features to create an even more fantastic and memorable experience," Kanno said in a statement.

As a thanks to fans, Sega also announced that the original Crazy Taxi will be free on iTunes and Google Play. The Android version is down at the moment but check back later to get the free, original. City Rush is slated for later in 2014.
