Conspiracy theories already abound about the ties between the paparazzi and the celebrities whose photographs are their bread-and-butter, but a new app promises to simplify that relationship even further.

Celeb Spotter, which will launch in mid-March, will enable photographers and celeb journalists to receive tips about the whereabouts of the rich and famous. The app will be open to celebrities' publicity teams and to members of the general public, who will only be able to see the locations of celebrities in the same city as them.

The app's creator, 24-year-old Ali Zaidi, insists that Celeb Spotter "is not an invasion of privacy since I will be giving out the technology to professional news agencies who employ journalist [sic], photographers, etc.” Well, that's one way to look at it.
