A man was fatally stabbed at a Queens barbershop yesterday afternoon during a heated argument over money, officials say.

Carl Richardson, 19, was pronounced dead at Franklin General Hospital following the incident at Select Stylez barbershop in Laurelton, Queens yesterday. Cedric Simpson, 34, has been arrested for stabbing Richardson to death with a pair of scissors. According to Gothamist, Richardson's family says that he sold Simpson a pair of Bluetooth headphones, and ventured to the barbershop to collect his money. A fight broke out when Simpson refused to give up the $50 and the headphones.

The New York Post, other barbers and patrons broke up the fight, but an "enraged" Simpson attacked Richardson, stabbing him in the stomach multiple times. Despite his claims that Richardson threatened him, Simpson was charged with second-degree murder.
