The Brooklyn Women's Collective Will Screen "Girl Rising" Next Month (4/8)

Something great is coming to Brooklyn.

None

Girl Rising, directed by Academy Award-nominee Richard E. Robbins, features nine girls from across the globe who have overcome adversity along the way to getting an education and achieving success. Each story was written by an author from the girls' respective country, and segments are narrated by the likes of Meryl Streep, Kerry Washington, Salma Hayek and Alicia Keys

On Apr. 8, Brooklyn Women's Collective has organized a screening of the film at 7:30 p.m. at Court Street Stadium 12 (106 Court St.) in Downtown Brooklyn. Tickets for this incredibly inspirational film are $14 and can be purchased here. A portion of all ticket sales will be forwarded to supporting girls' education programs.
