Archer fans can breathe a sigh of relief because according to The Hollywood Reporter, the critically-acclaimed animated series is sticking around through at least 2016. This move by FX ensures that Archer will clear syndication requirements, carrying it through its sixth and seventh seasons. Each new season will consist of 13 episodes.

Archer is one of the best comedies on television and has played a significant role in the growth of the FX comedy brand,” FX original programming president Eric Schrier said in a statement. "We’re grateful to [creators/EPs] Adam Reed, Matt Thompson and their team at Floyd County, and also our incredible voice cast, and are looking forward to supporting their work for at least two more seasons."

The show has been gaining in the ratings over the years, and Monday’s season premiere garnered 1.65 million viewers, a record for the series. Not only can you enjoy Archer for another two seasons, but FX is already prepared to extend the show beyond this agreement.
